The link to the “blog” post on You Tube
So I showed you the blog post on my YT channel the other day. You didn’t know you can blog post on the tube didja?
That same post is here at this blog, but it has something new curated into the mix. Listen to the audio show curating information through dialogue about the article. Through what I call “synthetic 3rd party endorsement”. What the “godzilla of persuasion”, Robert Cialdini calls social proof. Why you seek testimonials and reviews. What Chase Hughes might call Authority.

In How to Appear More Successful than Reality we look at all of Cialdini’s drivers of behavior on my old real estate marketing blog.

Below are two quickie charts on Cialdini’s influence principles. One a “duct taped” version, and a pro infographic:
For our purposes focus on social proof and authority that in my opinion is the most powerful reason to be impressed by Google’s NotebookLM.

How to Bring NotebookLM to Life
What can you get a 3rd “persons” perspective onto audio?

Then simply put:

  1. Grab the document or text
  2. Enter it into the bar in Notebook
  3. Push generate for your audio output
  4. Download the Wav file
  5. Place into Soundcloud
  6. Grab the share Iframe from Soundcloud tab and copy
  7. Embed it into the appropriate space. I show you that I embedded mine into the preceding NotebookLM I did.

Even More Powerful Psychological Levers Bigger than SEO

I affectionately call this meta stacking.

Meta stacking is an idea that emerged into my marketing mind as I attended a Lenny Kravitz and U2 Concert years ago.

People up really close and afar watched the concert and the big screen video of the concert high above the stage. May I call the screen also synthetic? Then I got to relive the experience when I pulled it up on Youtube a week later.

That is a 3 stack of experience right?

For nuance some videos were very close, other from the bleeder sections. So the more videos I pull up the more my experiences of the same experience. The more memorable the event.

In the SEO game we also use the word, stack.

meta stackWe stack documents via embed from platform to platform to cause a site to share its authority with us. The Wikipedia and video here are iframe embeds.

These embeds trance Google out to like your page where they are posted.

As where it begins and where it ends intoxicates the bot and serves almost as  infinite mirrors of authority.

I might discuss this later how NotebookLM offers no real seo value that I can tell is derived from the platform itself, yet. In other words there is no link or embed power that I can get from it. Just textual and audio AI content. Why we need Soundcloud to host audio for us. Even though I wish it was Google which is a much more powerful domain to embed into our website ecology.

Google loves who it loves, loves, and it loves itself the most.

What is Meta Stacking?

In my studies of neuro-marketing. The NLP Meta Model was presented as a way to use precision languaging. And the presenters would often use the word meta.

Well what is meta anyway?

It means beyond, and simply put, NLP folks might say it is the meaning of the meaning.

When we label something,
we might say it is blue,
which means that is a warm color,
which means you can evoke feelings of affection within those who experience these colors.

This fits really well into marketing. As your materials can tell a story of your brand across time and web locations.

So what we are doing is minimally repurposing content across platforms with or without SEO stacks or links.

But as I say, minimally we are going for the psychological benefit which includes another principle not yet mentioned.
When your stuff is out on the web, where:

everywhere I go there you are

Your mentions First or Third Person are doing what is called psychologically priming me.
Scroll down for some simple definitions and variations on priming people.

Good ole Robert Cialdini discusses the concept in his great book called Pre-Framing. He reports that a woman playing a damsel in distress asks for help on 4th street will get more help from men if she is on Valentine Street.  Much like if you hand a person you wish to influence a warm drink to hold while you present your message will be more inviting for them than a cold one. These are examples of associative priming.

What happens when everywhere on Google or socials there you are?

The internet allows you and I to do this via the web while engaging SEO or Reputation Marketing. Your material is wide and deep and far. Add in the offline material, and even some esoteric strategies that bind and blend on and offline (I will share these moves to you in future posts)  And you are indeed everywhere.

If your target audience is say local red widget consumers. And you have multiple widget keywords showing in Google and Bing. And you are a participant in online groups in Alignable, Instagram, Facebook, Skool and so on. And you are in all the proper relevant directories. And Tim who needs a red widget gets your post card in the mail. And some how thinks he knows you from somewhere online.

This is the epitome of what Madison Avenue coined the rule of 7 in the old days.

These seven touches can happen more naturally when you are:

  • Finding conversations and
  • Participating in the conversation
  • then Leading the conversation

Today we get to use what the boys in the Madmen TV Show can only wish they had.

Well, actually they do have these tools by 10x.
Ever think that your device is listening?

Algos can guess our next move and subtly present to us what we want with decent precision.

So back to meta stacking. The first post on NotebookLm had the following before I emailed my list to the first post.

1. A talk on this new platform that my friend reported to me.
2. A dialogue between my friend reporting it to me as a favor. And I returning commentary through an email thread.
3. It was posted at YouTube on a post, but also at my personal Facebook and my blog .
4. Now I have an audio giving 3rd party “opinion” about my article.
5. And a video above and this article.

This reminds me early in web 2.0 where we were reminded of curation. In fact, I read a great book back then called Curation Nation. Teaching us that the internet is nothing but a curation of information.

These audios from Google Notebook remind me of the reaction videos popular on You Tube. What is even more meta is when they do a reaction video to a reaction video.

Fixing The Commodity Trap

These concepts can be interwoven through your stories as you repurpose material in and out of your platforms. The more they experience your stuff, the more they remember you and the less of a commodity or same as the other guy that they can label you.

Oh Yah the SEO Reason

You have seen it demonstrated in this blog and references. In all of these urls we:

  • build content
  • link
  • embed
  • or all of the above

Then we link to those ad nauseum and rank, get traffic, convert and rinse and repeat.
