Newish WordPress Gutenberg Editor
So actually i had a conversation a little earlier and what happened was my client asked me about how to embed an Google Map iframe code into the somewhat new WordPress editor called Gutenberg.
We had a workaround classic plug-in installed and was great until the plug-in did not get along anymore with the theme and apparently other plug-ins.
I said, ” hey put a map into this post and it can help. As it adds google authority and relevancy into your post. And oh by the way, like I said a million times Google loves itself.

One of the reasons i’m doing videos more often than before.
Instead of audio > podcast >syndicate>convert to video. Why not start with video and work down to text and audio/podcast down? Also, I was delighted that Zoom cuts me an audio as well as video.
Add video to Youtube, rip out transcription, post to blogs and then alternative video hosts. And socials and GMB/GPB if small enough. If not then a snippet. And then cut them up and redo as shorts .
With all the syndicated places just in audio, I get my contact NAPS and descriptions and links in new places.

I started doing podcasts with audio first. I did it with SEO benefits intent about 4 years or so ago. I had one before that. Which was self hosted and one that was on a dinosaur of a hosting service. I stupidly deleted all the old mp3s.
Why so stupid to delete old content?
An audio file can be hosted on multiple mp3 hosting sites like Amazon podcast, I Heart Radio, Spotify and sources like SoundCloud. Many giving varying degrees of descriptions with NAPs and links. And embeddables. So I got that part handled mostly on the syndicates. Many auto syndicating across a bunch of podcast sites.
All with my messages, phone and links. (when they give links). Also I could easily get it transcribed for social and article text.
Now Zoom. Throw a virtual background up (these are fun for me) and record and you get a video and audio. I put the audio up through auphonic for post production. Then I SEO the audio.
How do you SEO an audio?
An easy way without expensive software.
- Make sure the file is called your wanted keyword(S).
- Click details tab
- Fill in areas that will allow you to. (see graphic)
Oh careful not to let the online host to change it all, or just use their tools.
The Social Media Exodus of 2021
in January of 2021, (so a year ago) we got a new president. And a lot of people on the right disagreed. And were and still are being punished for their opinion by big tek. A term called shadowban became a thing. Reach was significantly dialed down in socials like Twitter and Facebook.
A right wing exodus was called for. But nobody abandoned ship completely. And were left in a conundrum as some possible exit points were identified. And smashed by Big Tek. Parler got dropped off Amazon Cloud, and Gab if I recall was having issues already.
Well it has been a year and not only has the iffy platforms seemingly got their act together, but there are new opportunities here and coming soon.
What Are the Best Social Sites?
Sites must serve many masters. For instance, Facebook at one time was a real social exchange. It was not unusual for me to get 100s of likes and 100+ comments when a hot topic.
Well, since this does me no good as far as SEO (since the personal profile part of Facebook blocks Google), why would I continue providing them content and the scraping of my personal behavior if there is no possibility to extend my persona reach.
What is the main reason reason to do content on the web?:
- Google Juice
- Persona Building
- Advertising
Hopefully all of the above at once. So I do not get the first two , and I have to advertise which cannot provide much organic exchange of conversation. The point is traffic that leads to a sale.
So what I am eyeballing is mostly link opportunities. I love link opportunities. If there is potential for persona extension so be it. BTW Youtube is a pretty good play for persona.
What is Cool Local SEO?
This video above was motivated by a client consult that led us to something that I did for him extra. He usually does his own blogs. But I added some local goodness to teach him, to nudge him to next level.
The intent was to get him to use local schema like open houses (he is a realtor) and faq schema on a new real estate WordPress plug-in that I am testing in beta. But he could not deal with the editor that WordPress is forcing on everyone. So I taught him the new Gutenberg editor and how to get the goodies he needs to use.
Like the embeds from Google maps that help force relevance into his page.
