Hey are you on Alignable?
You should be.
It is sort of a Linked-In directory networking platform.
I like that they let you answer other businesses questions. Like a Quora but more business people questions.
I didn’t say this 😉
But if you do not like the questions they ask, go write your own questions. I would do this under another account though.
Then answer under your main account.
So I answered a question about SEO. It was a softball, and an easy write. I linked from the article to the *CID Google My Business URL version.
*Your Google Customer Identification Number is the exact ID number Google uses to locate and associate with your company or brand with their online products
Then I marketed to the article.
Then post the link to the article and some curated snippets of content to:
- Multiple Facebook Pages
- Linked In
- Twitter accounts
Which what?
>>>>>They all link back to my new article on Alignable.
I then made a video about the article and this sort of linking . I linked to the video from a Blogger blog post.
And the video links to the article.
I even linked in Instagram to the article. I usually stay away from Instagram other than the front which gives you a link, but this photo has a link in it. And the link inside the photo can be read by Google.
I will talk about that some more in my next post.
I posted to these and others to seed the article for links. And of course Google My Business.
Then harvest all the new URLs and stick into my indexer. My favorite currently is Web20Indexer so that is to get Google to index the new pages.
Any of these including the article may get some ranking SERP love from G.
But that is bonus. What I demonstrated for you is that I funneled authority up into my GMB.
This approach to SEO and marketing is part of my unique philosophy of 20 years in the business:
- Never let content go un-repurposed.
- Everything can rank.
- Everything piece of content serves the other family members.
- There are two types of social media. Persona-influencer based and SEO.
- And there are three types of personas.
You, the business, and you the business (Col Sanders).
Persona Marketing
This is you as a business or maybe just a good social media personality. You know how to create conversations and post interesting stuff to the people that you want to attract. It may or may not be business or friends. Sometimes it both and more.
The Business Social Marketing
This too is persona. All great brands attempt to attach personality and branding to their business. Do you know this green guy?
You The Business
This is the Col. Sanders effect. Or if you follow popular internet personas. Let us name a few:
- Dan Lok
- Gary V
- Dan Pena
- Jay Abraham
- Dan Kennedy
- Dan Bilzerian

These are all personas and the first three guys say the F word lots.
And do not think it their lazy articulation or lack of a dictionary.
It is used to manipulate those that are impressed by someone doing what you are not supposed to do in a business-ey environment. They are so above that common etiquette does not apply, Thus, they must be good.
I will tell you something else.
Gary V. Is almost always in front of a crowd teaching some marketing. And often life skills. A Tony Robbins wanna be of sorts. oops
I left Tony out. He F bombs lots too. But what does this have to do with business? Not much, but it helps him get an authority frame for when he talks with you.
Why I love the photo of me speaking from a conference last Spring and to our team at the last Banquet. It objectifies me into a larger than life persona that others value listening to.
It helps me take the authority frame. Even when its not football and in business. and is what published content is supposed to do.
If at any point you go yah, that makes sense, then we are on our way; -)
There are multiple ways to get an authority frame. They have books. Devices that are all about creating social proof.
Jay Abraham is a favorite of mine. As opposed to the F bombers, Jay is incredibly affable and articulate. Usually in rich looking suits, but not the type we usually see in conservative circles.
While the F Bombers revel in crass, Jay is the epitome of empathy and etiquette. He has worked with many big hitters.
Dan Bilzerian is a gambler who made himself famous for his lavish lifestyle always surrounding himself with hot models. He currently is promoting a Vaping and CBD business. And his highly produced short stories in Instagram are in fact infomercials usually with bikini clad models.
Such that you are not sure if you are watching a Sports Illustrated Swim Suit edition documentary or one of his manufactured parties. Also they remind me of the Fyre Festival hype films. He is not nearly as vocal or does he try to cut another vlog episode as some of our other personas.
In fact, the women are his business persona.
These are the labels that they want you to put onto them. The judgments if you will. And in case you have not heard.
The point of marketing is to be judged in order to attract your most likely buyers.
To finish off the story.
This article will be soon sent to my list and out onto the socials again. Self referencing my links through Google and other high authority channels.
Forming a link wheel, I believe we used to call it in the olden SEO days .
Hopefully I have demonstrated for you the ease at least conceptually, it is to build authority up into your websites.
SEO Social Media
One way great to build authority is to funnel your main content from your site into your main socials.
We do this to build your brand and social signals announcing your newly created content.
Now, we do this for our clients as we will syndicate out their blog posts to multiple platforms all over the web.
This demonstration above was something I do not advocate really until you are doing the other stuff right. But it specifally details how to get you content spread.
This is important because I cannot tell you how many times that I have seen clients spend their content budget on just their Facebook business page. While never having fed their own blog.
Considering that only at most 20% of the folks who like your business page will actually see anything that you take the time to post. So lets leverage it better by making it a SEO play also.
And let’s leverage it even more with retargeting in Facebook, YouTube and Google. With maybe some off line blasts through direct response mail. This would be pretty far into my 4D SEO method.
