So reviews are not powerful because you have an abundance of 5 stars. Instead it is because you have a review which is a Google page.
And they take into consideration the above rules. Get the reviewer to mention your brand, your or their location or both, and a keyword. Which is usually the service or product that they bought from you.

Reviewer: Hey Coach Tim SEO. Thanks for the awesome Rankings for my dental website. I received 5 calls just yesterday.
Reply: Thanks John, I love that you are able to dominate your Peoria cosmetic dental SEO. I love the photo that you uploaded of you and your implant client flashing his pearly whites.
Geotagged photos and videos. I can go about town and upload a photo to my business profile. I could be shopping or attending a business meeting across town. Upload the video or photo to document your activities. This is a no brainer for real estate agents as an example who preview homes. Anyone who is busy out and about town away from the office should be doing this.
Bonus-ask for client and prospect reviews from points of interest around town or even their home or office and upload the video or photo with their review.
Directions-Using directions from your office to meetings add relevance and distance to your proximity filters. Because you might rank inside your office but it gets harder the further away that you get.
