How to Kill Three Digital Birds With One Branded SEO Stone
So many web site owners have a difficulty in wrapping their arms around the seemingly unrelated internet.
There are an estimated 105 “leading” social networks worldwide.
And if they are leading, shouldn’t you be on them. All of them?
So we rationalize “well one is better than none. And Facebook is the biggest so let’s do that.”
This statistic provides information on the most popular networks worldwide as of October 2018, ranked by number of active accounts. Market leader Facebook was the first social network to surpass 1 billion registered accounts and currently sits at 2.23 billion monthly active users. Sixth-ranked photo-sharing app Instagram had 1 billion monthly active accounts. Social networks The leading social networks are usually available in multiple languages and enable users to connect with friends or people across geographical, political or economic borders. Approximately 2 billion internet users are using social networks and these figures are still expected to grow as mobile device usage and mobile social networks increasingly gain traction. The most popular social networks usually display a high number of user accounts or strong user engagement. For example, market leader Facebook was the first social network to surpass 1 billion monthly active users, whereas recent newcomer Pinterest was the fastest independently launched site to reach 10 million unique monthly visitors. The majority of social networks with more than 100 million users originated in the United States, but European services like VK or Chinese social networks Qzone and Renren have also garnered mainstream appeal in their areas due to local context and content. Social network usage by consumers is highly diverse: platforms such as Facebook or Google+ are highly focused on exchanges between friends and family and are constantly pushing interaction through features like photo or status sharing and social games. Other social networks like Tumblr or Twitter are all about rapid communication and are aptly termed microblogs. Some social networks focus on community; others highlight and display user-generated content. Due to a constant presence in the lives of their users, social networks have a decidedly strong social impact. The blurring between offline and virtual life as well as the concept of digital identity and online social interactions are some of the aspects that have emerged in recent discussions.
But only 5% of your likes will even see your posts on their feed, while they swipe it away in less than 1 second.
So what do you do?
Oh, and I have seen this too many times…
A once cared for and nurtured website blog, abandoned for Facebook.
Three tasks by Doing One
As I demonstrated several years ago. SEO is Social, is Reputation, is SEO.
It is more difficult than ever to draw the line where one starts and ends.
I have a Facebook page that ranks against well against news sites. And I ask you, please tell me how a Facebook Business page is social. Do you see many conversations going on?
I get Yelp pages to rank as well as of course Google My Business (GMB)local 3 pack maps. GMB is SEO, but it is also Social and Reputation. In fact it is the greatest social media site ever! Is it any wonder they are doing away with the failed social media experiment called Google Plus(personal accounts).
It is SEO because the top 3 of maps rank first or second in the main Google search after ads.
It is Social because of questions and answers and reviews.
It is reputation because of reviews, and the ranking prominence of your brand.
There are more overlaps, but you get the picture.
The main reason GMB is the grand daddy of them all is Google.
People on Google are researching first. Socializing second.
On Facebook or other socials, people are there to socialize, and then research.
So in the podcast I describe how to get your arm around the mess and the splintered internet. How to only focus on what matters and what you own. Your own branded website. While benefiting your social and reputation offsite, automatically!
